About me

I am Gabriel, the founder of Naologic.

Buying software you can’t modify is like buying a horse instead of a car. That’s what I’m fixing.

Creator of DragonJS, a even driven framework in Typescript, designed for quick development of backend applications

At 17 I started exporting essential oils from factories in Romania, by 19, my contracts accounted for 50% of global trade wine yeast oil.

A few years ago under the mentorship of Reynaldo Gil, a globally recognized inventor, I co-developed an innovative device mesh technology to optimize hot water and gas use in industrial environments. This technology leverages local analytics, predictive algorithms, IoT sensors, and mobile devices to deploy autonomous swarms capable of interpreting various signals, processing data, and making real-time decisions to enhance consumption efficiency. Our work involved collaborations with major corporations such as Siemens, Pacific Gas, and Huawei. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot.

Mistral Hackaton in Paris - 9th of April 2024

Spent a weekend judging the Mistral hackathon - fascinating glimpse into how devs think about AI. Turns out everyone wants to build the next ChatGPT, but the real gold was in the oddball projects. Two standouts: a dev who taught Mistral to debug its own hallucinations, and another who built a system that catches when the model is trying too hard to please humans.

My expertise in AI testing frameworks and product psychology helped spot the difference between genuine innovation and fancy wrapping paper. Previous work with large language models at [startup] gave me the context to push teams beyond the obvious use cases.

Interesting to see how many builders still treat these models like magic boxes rather than tools with specific failure modes. Classic engineer optimism - we never learn, do we?
